Chaufa

The word “Chaufa” derives from the Chinese word “Chaufan” which means “Fried Rice”. Chaufa Rice comes from the fusion between Chinese and Peruvian food, since the arrival of Chinese immigrants in Peru back in 1849. Fried rice mixed with pieces of chicken, meat and vegetables, plus soy sauce and ginger, important ingredients in Chinese food, made it become this tasty mixture of flavors, whose name today is chaufa rice.
Chef’s suggestion: Our chaufa can turn into a chicken chaufa, a steak chaufa or a mushroom chaufa. You can also substitute the rice for quinoa, which is also amazing. Our flavors mixed in the wok pan will bring you one of our highlight dishes to your table. To drink, chicha or Inka Cola are perfect!
