Three Peruvian women Mom and Daughters
Qoyas was created by three Peruvian women—Alicia, Vanessa, and Magaly—who combined their expertise in hospitality and tourism. The name Qoyas, meaning “Queens” in Quechua, honors the strength of Peruvian women.
Now led by Magaly Ponce, Qoyas made history in 2020 as the first Peruvian ghost kitchen in the USA, bringing authentic Peruvian flavors to New Yorkers during the pandemic. Today, Qoyas operates as NYC’s first mobile Peruvian restaurant, offering a unique dining experience for private events, corporate gatherings, and embassy receptions, all while celebrating Peru’s rich culinary traditions.

Alicia
Alicia is a tourism and hospitality leader with 29 years of experience through her businesses in Peru, including an airport hotel and a tour operator. She has been an influential member of key industry associations, serving on several boards. A philanthropist, Alicia has also worked on projects that create positive social impact.
Within Qoyas, she provided strategic vision and inspired the team with her legacy of excellence in hospitality.

Magaly
Chef Magaly, the visionary behind Qoyas NYC, was recently recognized by the Mayor of New York for her influential career as one of the top Peruvian female chefs. With over 20 years of experience, she blends culinary excellence with storytelling to create unforgettable dining experiences.
In 2020, she launched the first Peruvian ghost kitchen in the USA during the pandemic and now leads Qoyas, NYC’s first mobile Peruvian restaurant. Chef Magaly’s philosophy is “hospitality without walls,” using food to connect cultures and elevate Peruvian gastronomy.

Vanessa
Vanessa is a marketing leader with 15+ years of experience, currently Director of B2B Marketing at a global agency. She co-founded The Peruana Collective (TPC) and is the voice behind The Peruvian Chica in NYC and the podcast El Poder de Emigrar, sharing migrant stories of resilience.
At Qoyas, Vanessa was key in shaping the brand’s marketing and storytelling, driving its mission to celebrate Peruvian culture.

How long does the Qoyas experience last, and how is it different from a traditional restaurant?
Unlike a traditional restaurant, the Qoyas experience lasts 4 to 5 hours, allowing you and your guests to relax, celebrate, and connect without time limits. It’s not just a meal—it’s a journey of flavors and emotions, where hospitality has no walls and every moment becomes unforgettable.
Do you only operate in New York?
Qoyas is proudly based in New York City, but our kitchen moves with you. We serve Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Staten Island, and surrounding areas, and can travel for special events in New Jersey or other U.S. cities upon request. Wherever you wish to celebrate, Qoyas brings Peru to you.
Can Qoyas adapt the menu for dietary restrictions?

How do I book Qoyas for an event?

Once we receive your inquiry, our team will schedule a brief consultation to understand your vision, number of guests, and event style. From there, Chef Magaly personally designs a tailored proposal that includes your customized menu, service format, and visual inspiration—bringing the essence of Peru to your celebration.
How much time in advance should I book?
To ensure every detail is perfectly curated, we recommend booking your event at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
For weddings, corporate activations, and large-scale events, it’s best to reserve 6 to 8 weeks ahead to guarantee availability, tasting sessions, and logistics coordination.
However, because we are a mobile restaurant, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute private experiences—so feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
Can I customize the catering menu?
Absolutely. Our menus are 100% personalized to reflect your style, preferences, and dietary needs.
Whether you want a traditional Peruvian tasting, a healthy and vegan fusion, or an international fine-dining experience, Chef Magaly crafts each menu to tell your story through flavors.

How are Qoyas’ services priced?
Our pricing is based on the type of service, number of guests, and level of customization you desire. Every Qoyas experience is fully tailored—whether it’s an intimate dinner, a corporate gala, or a high-end celebration.
We design each proposal after understanding your event goals, service style, and culinary preferences. This allows us to deliver a unique, luxury experience that reflects your vision and ensures excellence at every detail.
After your consultation, you’ll receive a personalized quote with menu options, service inclusions, and logistical details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and electronic payments through trusted platforms.
For corporate clients, long-term collaborations, or multi-event contracts, custom payment arrangements can be discussed during booking.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. To secure your date, we require a deposit of 50% upon approval of your proposal. The remaining balance is due 7 business days before the event.
This ensures that your event date, menu, and team are fully reserved for you.
Does Qoyas deliver food to homes or offices?
Qoyas is not a traditional delivery service — we bring the full restaurant experience to your home, office, or private venue. Instead of dropping off food, our team sets up on-site, cooks fresh, and serves with elegance, so you and your guests can enjoy an immersive dining experience without moving a step.
For corporate meetings or small gatherings, we can also offer drop-off catering options upon request, always maintaining Qoyas’s signature presentation and flavor.
Is staff included with catering services?
Our catering experiences always include the culinary team—chefs and kitchen staff—who prepare and serve each dish fresh on-site to ensure the highest quality and presentation.
If you wish to elevate your event with additional service personnel such as servers, bartenders, coat check, or coordinators, these can be added as optional services for an additional cost. The number and type of staff depend on the size, format, and level of service required for your event.
